What's Included

What all is included in the purchase?

Each puppy goes home with a customized take-home bag that includes a small bag of puppy food, a blanket with mom and littermates’ scent, AKC documentation when applicable, veterinary records, new puppy information, a roll of waste bags, and one extraordinary puppy.

Health, Registration, & Care

What type of AKC registration do the puppies come with?

All Springer Spaniel puppies are sold with AKC Limited Registration unless otherwise agreed upon. Limited Registration means the dog is registered but not eligible for breeding or AKC conformation events. Full registration, which allows breeding rights, is available for an additional cost to approved breeding homes only.

Springerdoodle and Aussiedoodle puppies do not come with AKC paperwork, as these breeds are not officially recognized by the AKC.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes. We offer a health guarantee for each puppy covering certain congenital or genetic conditions, provided regular veterinary care is maintained. Please see our Puppy Health Guarantee for full details.

What vet care does each puppy receive before going home?

All puppies are seen by a licensed veterinarian, receive a wellness exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, routine deworming, and (for Springer Spaniels) tail docking and dew claw removal where applicable.

When can I visit my puppy?

To maintain the health and well being of each puppy and the mother, no visitation or handling of the puppies is allowed until the puppies are approximately 10 days old.

General Questions

When can my puppy come home?

Puppies go home at 8 weeks old.

Do you ship puppies?

We do not ship puppies. All puppies must be picked up in person to ensure a safe and low-stress transition.

What if I can't pick up my puppy on the schedule Go-Home date?

Pick-up timing is scheduled in advance. Any alternate arrangements must be discussed in advance and are subject to availability or additional fees.

What food do you feed the puppies?

We feed Kindfull puppy food from Target. If you plan to switch food, we recommend transitioning gradually.

What food do you feed the parents?

Our adult dogs are fed a balanced, high-quality kibble formulated to support healthy weight, digestion, and overall wellness. We prioritize foods that provide complete nutrition and support long-term health.

Breeding Licensing

What ages can a dam and sire breed?

AKC Rules do not allow the registration of a litter out of a dam less than 8 months or more than 12 years of age at the time of mating, or if the sire is less than 7 months or over 12 years of age at the time of mating.

How often can you breed a dam?

Responsible breeders generally avoid breeding a dam on her first heat and allow sufficient time between litters to support her health and recovery.

Wisconsin Licensing

Why don't you have a Wisconsin state license to sell puppies?

In Wisconsin, a breeder license from the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is required only if a person sells 25 or more dogs in a licensing year and those dogs come from more than three litters they have bred and raised.

Because our program produces fewer puppies and litters than this threshold in a licensing year, we are not required to hold a state breeder license. We follow all applicable laws and breed in accordance with AKC standards and responsible breeding practices.
