Puppy Deposit Policy

At Storyside Kennels, we are excited to help you welcome a new puppy into your home!

Our deposit process ensures a smooth and fair experience for everyone.

Below, we have outlined the steps and terms for reserving a puppy.

A puppy is not reserved until the required deposit has been received by Storyside Kennels.

Submitting an Application

To reserve a puppy, Buyers must first complete an Application on our website: Application

Once submitted, we will review your application carefully.
If approved, we will provide any required reservation deposit information, payment instructions, and applicable deadlines.

Reservation Details

A reservation deposit is required to secure either:

A currently available puppy, or
A spot on a Future Litter Reservation List

A currently available puppy is not considered reserved until the required deposit has been received by Storyside Kennels.

Reservation deposits are applied toward the final purchase price of the puppy.

No deposit is required to join a Future Litter Interest List.

Deposit Terms

All reservation deposits are non-refundable and are applied toward the final purchase price of the puppy.

The required deposit amount, payment instructions, and reservation deadline will be provided when a reservation opportunity is offered.

Reservation Deposit Deadlines

Reservation deposit deadlines vary depending on the type of reservation:

Currently available puppies: Deposit is due within 24 hours of the deposit invoice being sent unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Future Litter Reservation List: Deposit is due within 7 days of the reservation invitation and deposit invoice being sent, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
- If the deposit is not received by the applicable deadline, Storyside Kennels reserves the right to offer the puppy or Reservation List position to another approved applicant.

Amount and Payment Methods

Reservation deposits may be paid using the following methods:

Venmo
PayPal
Cash
Personal check (by mail)

Non-Refundable Deposits

Deposits are non-refundable to ensure commitment to our puppies and planning for their care.

Transfer Option for Unforeseen Circumstances

We understand life can be unpredictable. If you are unable to take your reserved puppy, the deposit may be applied toward a future litter within one year, subject to availability and Storyside Kennels approval.

This transfer is allowed once, and a new puppy must be selected within one year, or the deposit will be forfeited.

Final Payment at Pickup

The remaining balance is due in full at the time of pickup and must be paid in cash.

For a smooth pick up process we do not accept personal checks or electronic payments at this time.

Deposits for Puppies 8 Weeks or Older

If you place a deposit on a puppy that is 8 weeks or older:

The puppy must be picked up within 14 days of the deposit being received by Storyside Kennels.
If no prior arrangements have been made and the puppy is not picked up within that timeframe, it will be considered abandoned, and the deposit will be forfeited.
