Delivery & Pickup Policy

Storyside Kennels offers several pickup and delivery options to help families safely bring their new puppy home. This policy explains available transportation options, scheduling requirements, fees, buyer responsibilities, and other important information.

All pick-up and delivery options are subject to availability and must be scheduled in advance.

Pickup & Delivery Options

Families may choose from the following pickup and transportation options, subject to availability and scheduling.

Pickup at Storyside Kennels

Picking up your puppy at Storyside Kennels in Cassville, Wisconsin is our recommended and standard pickup option and is included in your puppy purchase price.

There is no additional cost for pickup at our kennel.

Puppies are picked up by appointment during their scheduled go-home window. We encourage families to arrive on time so we can answer any final questions, review your puppy’s care information, and help make the transition to your home as smooth as possible.

Regional Delivery

For families within driving distance, Storyside Kennels offers regional delivery to an agreed-upon public meeting location.

Regional delivery is generally available within approximately four hours one way from Storyside Kennels, although availability depends on scheduling, weather conditions, and your puppy’s scheduled go-home date.

Delivery fees are based on the estimated one-way driving time from Storyside Kennels using Google Maps at the time delivery is scheduled.

Meeting locations are selected by Storyside Kennels and are typically well-lit public locations, such as retail parking lots or similar safe meeting areas.

Chicago Airport Meet-Up

For families traveling by air, Storyside Kennels may offer scheduled meet-ups at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) or Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW).

Buyers may fly into Chicago to receive their puppy or depart from Chicago with their puppy after the handoff. The buyer is responsible for all personal travel arrangements and airline requirements.

Airport meet-ups are subject to Storyside Kennels’ availability and must be arranged in advance.

Current airport meet-up fees are published on our Puppy Pickup & Delivery Options page and are incorporated into this policy by reference.

Buyer-Arranged Flight Nanny

If traveling to Wisconsin is not practical, buyers may arrange transportation through a professional flight nanny service.

The buyer is responsible for:

Selecting the flight nanny service
Booking the transportation
Paying all fees directly to the provider

Storyside Kennels will coordinate with the buyer’s selected flight nanny to schedule puppy pickup and complete a safe handoff.

If transportation to Chicago O’Hare, Chicago Midway, or another departure airport is requested, the applicable airport meet-up or regional delivery fee will also apply.

Flight nanny arrangements are subject to Storyside Kennels’ availability and the puppy’s scheduled go-home date.

Scheduling

All pickups, deliveries, airport meet-ups, and flight nanny pickups are by appointment only.

Scheduling depends on:

Your puppy’s scheduled go-home date
Storyside Kennels’ availability
Weather conditions
Travel logistics

We recommend discussing transportation plans as early as possible so arrangements can be coordinated well in advance. Transportation arrangements should ideally be finalized before your puppy’s scheduled go-home date.

Meeting Location

Regional deliveries will take place at a mutually agreed-upon public meeting location selected by Storyside Kennels.

For the safety of our puppies, buyers, and family, Storyside Kennels generally does not deliver to private residences.

The buyer, or an approved adult representative, must arrive on time and be present at the scheduled meeting location.

Weather, Safety, & Travel Days

The safety of our puppies is always our highest priority.

Storyside Kennels reserves the right to delay or reschedule any pickup or delivery due to circumstances including, but not limited to:

Severe weather
Unsafe road conditions
Puppy illness or health concerns
Vehicle issues
Flight delays or cancellations
Other circumstances beyond our control

If a delay becomes necessary, we will work with the buyer to reschedule as soon as reasonably possible.

Payment

Any applicable delivery or airport meet-up fee must be paid in full before the scheduled pickup, delivery, or airport meet-up, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Transportation fees are separate from the puppy purchase price.

Once travel has begun, applicable delivery fees are considered earned and non-refundable.

Buyer Responsibilities

Buyers are responsible for:

Arriving on time for the scheduled pickup or meeting
Providing accurate and current contact information
Following all applicable airline and travel requirements
Confirming any health certificate, animal import, or other destination-specific requirements before travel
Ensuring the buyer or an approved adult representative 18 years of age or older is available to receive the puppy

When traveling by air, buyers are responsible for verifying their airline’s current requirements, including approved pet carrier specifications and any required travel documentation.

General Terms

Pickup and delivery services are offered as a convenience and are subject to availability.

Storyside Kennels reserves the right to decline or delay any transportation request that cannot be completed safely or reasonably.

Storyside Kennels may modify meeting locations, scheduling, or transportation arrangements when necessary to protect the health, safety, and well-being of the puppy.
