Puppy Pickup Policy

This policy outlines our puppy pickup requirements, go-home timeframe, scheduling expectations, and options for approved extended stays.

Go-Home Window

Puppies must be picked up between 8 and 10 weeks of age, or within 14 days of the deposit being received, whichever occurs later.

Pickup Location

Puppy pickup takes place in Cassville, Wisconsin. The exact pickup location and arrival details will be provided prior to your scheduled pickup date.

Pickup Requirements

Buyers are responsible for scheduling their pickup appointment and arriving on time within the designated go-home window.
If you miss your scheduled pickup appointment, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule within the go-home window.
If a puppy is not picked up within the go-home window and no prior arrangements have been made, the puppy may be considered abandoned in accordance with our Abandonment Policy & Forfeiture Policy.
Extensions may be granted at the discretion of Storyside Kennels and must be approved in writing prior to the original pickup deadline.
Any remaining balance must be paid on or before pickup in accordance with our Puppy Deposit Policy.

Limited Extended Stay

Storyside Kennels understands that some families may need additional time before bringing their puppy home. When arrangements are made in advance, we may offer a limited extended stay for puppies remaining with us between 8 and 10 weeks of age.

There is no additional boarding fee for an approved extended stay during this period.

During an extended stay, your puppy will continue to receive:

Regular feeding and age-appropriate socialization
Continued litter box and crate training
Routine grooming and hygiene care

Extended stays are subject to availability and must be approved in advance by Storyside Kennels.

Veterinary Care During Extended Stay

If your puppy requires additional age-appropriate vaccinations or deworming while remaining in our care beyond the standard go-home age, those costs will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Storyside Kennels will coordinate any necessary age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, or other routine care during the approved extended stay.

Rabies vaccination remains the buyer’s responsibility and must be arranged at the appropriate age in accordance with applicable requirements.
In the event of an unexpected illness or injury requiring veterinary attention, Storyside Kennels will make reasonable efforts to contact the buyer as soon as possible using the contact information provided.
Necessary medical care will not be delayed if the buyer cannot be reached.
Storyside Kennels may authorize emergency veterinary treatment when necessary to protect the immediate health and safety of the puppy.
Veterinary expenses incurred during an extended stay are the responsibility of the buyer.
